Idlewylde cabins are beautiful log cabins across from Clearlake beach and pier. My friend and I stayed in Cabin 2 recently. There were two bedrooms and 1 1/2 baths. One bedroom is the master and it has a spa tub in it, which we didn’t use. The other bedroom is small with a twin bed next to a window. The cabins are very conveniently located across from Clearlake beach. Taking our tripods out to photograph the night skies was very convenient and we also enjoyed going for walks on the beach and pier. The fireplace is wood burning so we didn’t use it. Everything is provided except for bath towels and paper towels. If you need bars of soap, you ask for it. The office was next to our cabin so it was easy for us to walk over and chat with the owner. He was always in during office hours. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The furnace gets hot pretty quickly. The stairs are a bit steep going down. The knives needed sharpening. The shower was lovely and hot. There are restaurants and a small grocery store next to Idlewylde property. They serve meals too. There’s also a Clearlake information building that is open year round. They provide maps and are friendly and helpful about places to visit.
Jimmy and his staff are awesome! Wouldn't stay anywhere else! Best place in town!
Absolutely LOVE this place but very hard to make a reservation. Phone service is disconnected which is the only way to make a reservation. Wish they'd take online reservations.
As close as you can be to the beach in town. Nice bungalows, kitchens well equipped.
